Avalon Exchange is a buy sell trade resale clothing boutique.

We began in 1988 as a vintage clothing store. Since then we have continued to provide style hungry individuals with one of a kind treasures. We are a family owned and operated business committed to offering you a fun shopping experience in Cleveland,  Pittsburgh, and St. Louis. Our carefully curated inventory includes designer pieces, vintage, Air Jordans, denim, leather, basics, and one of a kind items. We buy directly from the public each day, as a result our selection is always a  direct reflection of our community. We seek out contemporary, vintage and designer pieces, but you’ll also find brand new merchandise and accessories.

How it Works

Avalon Exchange hand picks the most sellable pieces of clothing, jewelry, bags, and shoes. We accept items based on season, style, brand, and condition. We evaluate garments for their resale value and offer the seller 30% of the retail floor price in cash, or 45% of the retail floor price in store credit, payment or credit received the day of sale.

Our on-the-spot approach is easier and more convenient than consignment. The store credit option can be used on the same day or for future visits. What do you carry?

We sell contemporary, vintage and designer pieces. We offer men’s and women’s clothing, shoes, handbags, and costume jewelry. We DO NOT buy or carry children’s clothing, wedding dresses, prom gowns or undergarments.

What do you buy?

We buy clothing shoes, handbags, and costume jewelry directly from the public each day. We decide what to buy based on what sells best in each location.  We buy seasonally, so we probably won’t want your shorts in the winter time or your coats during summer.  We look for vintage, designer, and modern brands. Some brands are more desirable than others, and each location has varying interest levels in brands. We only buy items that are clean and in good condition. We buy seven days a week, no appointment necessary. If it’s your first time selling, let your buyer know so he or she can provide you with as much information as possible. Not sure if you’re ready to part with something and you just want to get a quote for an item? No big deal, our buyers will be happy to give you a cash or store credit quote directly on the spot with no pressure to sell.

Why didn’t you buy what I brought in?

If we are unable to use your clothes, we still really like you. Please, don’t take it personally if we pass on your items. Our goal is for every customer to have a good experience but we can only buy items we think we can sell.  If we are unable to use something you thought we should have taken it may be because we are overstocked in it’s category, it needs cleaned, or it’s out of season. If there’s something we think we can take another look at at a later date, we will be sure to let you know.

What is your return policy?

We do not take any returns or exchanges. All sales are final.

Do I need to make an appointment to sell?

No appointment is necessary for selling your items, just please be sure to bring a valid form of identification. Also, refer to the seller tips in order to make your selling experience a positive one, this will also help the buyer get through your things more effectively.

Is there a limit on what I can sell?

There is generally no minimum or maximum on what you bring in to sell, however we reserve the right to limit the amount of items we can buy from one seller on busy days. Please make sure that the items are laundered and folded neatly so things go quickly and smoothly.
